Shawn's Pet Blog

I have grown up a pet lover. I have had cats, dogs, guinee pigs, hamsters, fish and even sit a ferret for a while. I have perdominately have been a Dog fan for a long time. I have liked them over cats because of their consistant loyalyty and their overall fun spirit. However, since I got married we have only had cats. It is my wifes favorite and quite honestly with my busy schedule right now I don't know that we could take very good care of a Dog. We live in the country so from what I understand you dont get too attached to your pets unless you make them an inside pet. In western kanas you have foxes and coyotes and occasional other preditors that will eat the animals. . . especially cats because they are free spirited and will wander far away from the property to become prey. Coming from Denver I am not use to this kind of thing. The biggest thing we have to worry about are dog catchers or the pets running in front of a Car. So this is a bit of a transition for me. Currently I have three grown cats and a fresh set of kittens from the only femaie cat in the family. The only cat we have lost so far was a stray that we causually too care of, and even was the home for when she had a litter of kittens. One nite we heard what seemed like a cat fight outside and never heard from the cat again... so who knows.
The kittens come from a mom yellow and white tigger type cat. I have no idea what the breed is on this. I tried to Google it with no avail. If anyone has any thoughts let me know. It may be the mutt of the cats but I am not sure. It is amazing at this stage that other cats don't eat them. I am joking of cource but honestly they don't look much different than mice or some other rodent. They are kind of cute. I will post pictures soon.

I am realy ejoying seeing the kitten grow. Like real babies it’s really amazing how quickly they grow and begin to show personalities. In this litter we have an almost white cat, a grey cat, two tigger cats, and two darker kittens. They are really cute. Their eyes are open now. My small children are small and want to see the cats open so they have mentioned they want to help them open their eyes. We have told them not too. I have heard that it may cause them to go blind. I have no idea whether that will happen or not but really don’t want to find out. Pictures are still coming I promice…
