A semisocinian is a philosopher or theologian who holds a middle position between socinianism (the belief that Jesus was merely human and not divine) and orthodox trinitarianism (the belief in the holy trinity of God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit). Semisocinians reject certain aspects of socinianism but also hold views that are inconsistent with trinitarian theology.
